1 - Original
2 - Non-standard
3 - Tim's (Thanks Buddy!)
4 - Latest improved version

cool, 4 looks a little happier than 3, so it's really the best option :)
Number 4 is where it's at. I could be slightly biased though, haha.
That's the one.
I like #4, he looks so happy!
Funny thing is this is the same way the original icon came together. Also: read this and this.
Beautiful! The one on the right!!
Some parts on the 3rd option look more pixel perfect than some on the 4th icon. But anyways , I think if you'ld perfect some of the parts on the 4th icon it'll be all good. Nice work so far :)
all over #4
#4 is stunning!
Thanks everyone! :)
@Elias - Yes, you are right - I did this over breakfast! The final icon will have a bit more pixel love given to it. :)
I still like #2 a lot, but #4 is growing on me.
Yeah, you got it.
Yep, #4 is a winner.
Definitely like the last one the best. Can't wait to play around with this.
Definitely #4. #3 helped you, but looks more-nervous/uptight. :)
In the round version, the edges don't fragment as badly. I'd look at a way to clean up the edges, but I'm loving the progression :)
#4 All the way.
Going out on a limb here - but my favorite is #4! ;)
For me, #2. I love "borderless" iPhone icons. I find that they are much easier to locate visually, when I'm scanning through my screens. Second place is #4.
I like 2, but I'm not sure putting a black bg on them will carry over to iPad with its custom backgrounds. Number 4 it is.
#4. For no other reason because of the slight inclination of looking like: o_O
