Was making some simple ui elements for a player which reminded me of the buttons I made about 1 year ago... A bit fun to compare the iOS7 elements to what they could have looked like in iOS6.
I know which one I prefer - how about you?

EDIT : Yes, the flat ones are exaggerated

So much more character with the IOS6 version; both nice, but I prefer the former :)

I agree with Alex, the iOS6 version has much more character. The iOS7 design looks like a wireframe.

@Alex Wright & @Hervé Denjean Hehe, agree with you guys. The iOS7 one is also a bit exaggerated to make a point.
    Thanks!

iOS7 is a poor attempt on minimalism in my opinion. Hated it since day 1, thank god I own Android!

Agree with you all. Not that I dont like it neat and flat - it should just be done right... and sometimes it is fun to play with shadows!

this is called skeuomorphism. Textures, shadows - are all about realism

@Sergei Emelianenko haha what? I know what skeuomorphism is, but what did you want to say with that? :)

Nice! It's all about the balance, keep it usable and timeless without being boring. I'm not sure there's right and wrong design, just better or worse.. In the end it's all about UX, just my 2¢ :)
