I don't get any mobile app projects where I work (which I really want to do) - so I keep trucking along inside this personal (and fictional) car maintenance app that I've dubbed Eddie - trying out new styles and layouts. This would be the home / add service page of the app.
I don't have much of a background in app design, so this is an experiment, but any feedback would be great. Full view attached.

Dude! This is a great idea, you should develop it :D
@Matt Webb Haha, thanks man! If only I knew how. My original plan was to have the input of services be more open - like just an input area you could type in "Oil change 138,950 45.00" and it would automatically sort and put it in on the list based off that. Kind of like those little steno notepads people keep in their car - then I realized it's not like most people are familiar with tracking their car maintenance anyway - so a more guided approach was better.
What do you think of the design and stuff?
I need this app :) I really like the design and choice of typeface. The only thing I would say is the center where you're logging your service needs more contrast with the rest of the page. Perhaps that charcoal on the top image extends down to meet the grey? Great job!
@Trish Duffy Thanks for the feedback! I totally get what you're saying with the contrast, I'm going to fiddle with a few more ideas here soon and hopefully that'll address some contrast issues. Thanks again :)
