Hey everybody! Loads of attachments in this one and be sure to check it out in 2x!
Over last weekend as part of our internal Handsome Challenge series I created a revamp conceptualization of Pandora which I thought was in need of a fresh pair of eyes. I really wanted this to be a higher-end experience since as you navigate the market of media players and similar products, there’s a lot of fun-ness going around (Not that that’s a bad thing). I was trying to go for a little different, a little more immersive, etc.
At any rate, I’d love constructive feedback on the concept from any perspective(UX/UI/Branding), and I highly encourage others to take a stab at the Pandora interface from the standpoint of it being a not very straight-forward or conventional media player service.

This is just stellar. I haven't come across something this high-caliber in a quite some time...you're killin it with this, man.
@Marc Caldwell Hey thanks a lot Marc I really appreciate that :) Had a lot of fun with it, Pandora is a fun redesign exercise for sure.
@Bryce Thompson greatt
@Mansoor Thanks so much!
@Jawad Thanks a lot!
@Oleg Stirbu Thanks!
Finally someone with some nice music examples! :-)
Nice. I would use Pandora if it looks like this!
Great design !!
@Tomas Laurinavicius Thanks!
@Joel Helin Ha you got it man
@Ben Johnson That means a lot thanks!
@Bryce Thompson killin' it!
I generally don't like the idea of re-designing existing products (for various reasons...blah blah), especially robust ones like Pandora, but this is excellent. I don't use Pandora much, mainly because I don't their interface.
To be honest it's too dark. The layout is interesting but maybe you could try with smaller thumbnails for already played section. In love with the treatment for search results.
No one else is saying, that's why I'm stepping in. The font sizes are way too small.. some barely able to read. And not just that, I personally don't think the font works at all, it's way too blurry. Everything is too dark in general, and I really need to contrast rebellion this. I can barely see anything in the dark areas, the text, UI elements etc.. there isn't really any contrast here.
I had to say this, no one else had the guts to ;) No hate intended! Just some harsh critiques.
This is great, the only thing that is bothering me are the "a"s in Pandora. The weight seems strange. But this is really minor, killer stuff man!
@Ramsay Lanier Appreciate the kind words!
@Manu Gamero ☁ Yeah I can see that, I made a lighter one previously so maybe there's a happy medium hmm. Thanks!
@Daniel Sandvik Thanks Daniel! I appreciate it and you definitely brought some things up I didn't consider. Your comment is why I'm here man!
