   I like this a lot, but a question: why the 'floor' element? Is it a part of the icon or just to show it off?

    The gray floor is just part of the presentation here. The blue circle base is part of the icon. The other icons in the suite had circular elements. In retrospect, I'm not sure it was necessary, but the project is shipped.
