We've just launched Instagram for Windows Phone 8!
It's been great to learn about Windows Phone and discover the intersection between platform conventions and what makes the app feel like Instagram.
For navigation we've aimed for an icon-based navigation pivot that takes up the least possible screen real estate. Full-bleed photos are now part of the Instagram design across the board, as well as circular avatars. For our camera flow, we've decided to fast-track the publishing flow by launching you directly into the camera roll. If you want to take a quick snap, the camera is only one button away.
We're very excited to get our app on Windows Phone. If you're interested, download it from the Windows Phone store.

Now if we can get a similar app icon using the glyph branding for iOS 7 ;)
Awesome job on the app.
You're unstoppable dude. I have to agree with @Adrian Kenny the app icon or whatever it's called on Windows Phone looks pretty sweet.
Finally 50 megapixel camera phone gets a photo sharing app!
Is it me or does the icon have a thin hairline to the left?
Great work guys, the app feels great.
@Richard de Ruijter Do you have a screenshot? :)
@Maykel Loomans sure! http://imgur.com/KlMsJGu
Sorry, didn't wanna rain on your parade :)
Awesome work! I don't own any WP if someone could share a video footage of the app that's would be neat indeed! :)
Windows has been getting a lot of complaints by not having Instagram I believe, although, alternative clients were available.
It has quite a touch though, bravo.
Great work, as usual. :)
Now can you move onto Instagram for iPad? :)
@Richard de Ruijter I notice the same hairline, apart from that nice job!
Great job team Instagram!
After recent tumblr's redesign, Instagram is the last one with iOS 6 style app icon on my homescreen. Hope you're doing good :)
@Mantas Sutkus @Adrian Kenny Is the current icon really such a bad thing, though? Even within the context of iOS 7?
@Mantas Sutkus and Whatsapp? ;-)
@Sascha Eggenberger iMessages works fine for me ;)
Nicolee Drake is the photographic bon of lusciously heavy, Fiat- and Vespa-peppered, Italian atmosphere. Love her work.
Nice work to you, too, @Maykel Loomans!
