   Who let that loser in?

   Liking the bevelled rules separating the labels and fields, mate.
   Maybe bring the error hovercard in a little, closer to the field, possibly even overhang the field?

   Cheers Si, I'm going to do just that. My thinking at present is that the hovercard will straddle a slightly darker red outline on the input itself, which should vibe with your suggestion nicely.

   I generally use footballer names for mockups, my stock sample users are 'Mr Horacio Carbonari & Mrs Kiki Musampa'.
