    Really rough, but thought I'd show the kind of direction for the large sizes and few people seemed keen for a peek at other colours. Please excuse messiness of the folders, I've yet to standardise resizing them all and fixing them up yet.

    “Rough?” You’ll never cease to amaze me with your skills, Rick!

    Will the 16px size have perspective (OSX 10.0) or be front-faced (OSX 10.6)?

    Hell yeah. The gear and headphones dont seem to really have a similar style though, they're not matching that well.

    @Jerry: At 16px I'll probably go with front-facing folders and objects for clarity.

    @Iiro: Cinema 4D + Photoshop.

    @Elias: I've been a bit worried about that too. The gear feels more stylised. Maybe a more realistic gear. I do like how cute it turned out though. Hm!

    Very nice, I think the gear matches the folder styles closer since the folders have that thickness to them. Maybe if the ear pieces were a bit out of proportion with the band it'd match nicely.

    Looks nice man!

    I'm such a noob with Cinema4D but I was wondering what do you do exactly on Cinema4D? Just the basic shape and then export it to photoshop? Do you get working paths or just a rasterized layer? Is it possible to export for example the cog with a transparent background?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the comments guys. :)

    @Jonatan: I try to do as much as I can in C4D, like materials and lighting. For 512-128 I'm working with the raster output and fixing any problems, touch ups, shadowing, etc. 48-16 are redone by hand. I think in future even if I want to do an entire icon in photoshop (ie vector), I'll probably model it out to double check perspective, reflections and such.

    @Alexander: Agreed, I usually roll with half the intensity but kinda threw this together to show people.

    I like the sharpness, why not just do simple embossed folders before you finish all this mad 3D stuff? :)
