Made this bad boy for fun and probably wont show this in my comp sheet to the client. I really just wanted to explore halftones and shadows. I think it came out very nicely. I also haven't done some wood grain in awhile. So I figure I give that a shot again.

awesome type and LOOOOOOve that barrel
A shame this won't be used!
Damn Nick! That barrel is sick.
Nice color palette & typography!
Your always playing with your wood @Nick. lol. Awesome buddy.
Thats some awesome wood texture! Love the comp. It could be cool to try the barrel on its side. Probably wouldn't work in real life but in the design might be cool
Nick that barrel is amazing and I love he halftone shading. This should definitely we shown.
Looks awesome as always man! Keep up the amazing work!!!
crazy good line work.
wood grain looks great! it seems everyone on here including myself is doing beer/liquor sh*t as of late lol
Great work - I like it.
I think you should show this one to the client - the literal imagery of a barrel is much more iconic (and easier remembered by customers i'd bet) than a non literal logo.
A barrel does seem quite obvious, but I don't think it's done too much or is cliche.
The barrel looks fantastic, love the old time and drawn feel to it. I feel like the wheat symbol in the middle doesn't match the aesthetic of the barrel though, seems to refined for it.
Show it. Or I will hunt you down. That barrel is bad ass.
Ya that barrel is boss
Nice woodsy barrel!
I feel halftones work really well for beers/malts, don't know why :o pet Thor for me!
Really diggin the actual feeling of it! :)
You owe it to design to at least show this to the client.
