I made this today, it's relatively finished. I did the initial sketch in the BG a while back, thought I'd make something out of it.

As always, fantastic work. I would agree about the glass being a bit too subtle of a difference, but it sounds like you've got that taken care of.

nice :) but i hate it when angled white lines get pixelated at smaller icon sizes.. i guess not much we can do about it :)

Hah oh wow. Is this another one of those 'can't sleep projects?' Either way it looks amazing mate! Totally amazing! Love the metal shine/texture/gradient on the rim of the magnifier.

@Mike - sort of :P I started around 6pm but then quickly gave up and then finished it at like 11 hehe. The metal was tough to get right and I still don't like it, I'll see what I can do.

The edges on the small one (white photo edges) look edgy some times. Maybe make them bigger?
