Maybe it'd be more fun is the shadow had a direction? Not just a straight-down circle, kinda?
And the sharpness of the paper may seem to crash a little with the smoother pin thing (what's it called? the red pointy thing with a hole lol)

Hmm, I guess I'm not seeing the connection. In this shot the rain drops are blurry just because it's the default iPhone wallpaper blurred to make the icon stand out more. In Cuberto's shot it seems like he is showing multiple icon resolutions in the full version and I was curious why he chose to blur them. Maybe my original comment wasn't clear, I've added to it to try to reflect my intentions better :)
