Another game wallpaper. Notoriously late to the phenomenon, i've recently started playing minecraft and, as people warned me on twitter, it's very addictive. Such a great concept, the sandbox approach to gaming just really strikes a chord with me.
@Jonah It's true that Rickie Sherman made an awesome replacement icon, but i guess the credit gotta go to notch who created the original graphics for the game, as this is a representation of the basic dirt tile referenced from the game sprites (which also doubles as the actual game icon). Quite a lot of people have rendered this thing, both as wallpapers and as icons. Anyways, as much props to Rickie as possibly, i think his icon replacement is one of the best out there and i hope that he or anyone else doesn't feel hurt that i made a wallpaper from the same original game sprite.
@Pete Careful Pete, my productivity really dropped when i first began. It's crazy fun, but it will rob you of your night sleep. You should try playing on a multiplayer server though, it feels more engaging than the singleplayer aspect.
@Marcus i'll do a cube-less version, check back later. :)
Yes, i know, yet another Game Wallpaper. I was a huge fan of the Original Dragon Age, so i naturally had the sequel waiting for me on Steam when it was released a week back. I've only had time to play it for a handful of hours but i'm already engulfed, as per usual with BioWare titles.
Anyways, heres a fairly elaborate wallpaper i made to celebrate another milestone in the single-player RPG genre. The sword is a Ferelden inspired design i sketched up first by hand, then on my cintiq before finally rendering it in PS. Was a really fun process actually. I've also included a version with just the sword and one with just the 'dragon glyph'. Hope you enjoy it.

Minecraft is a great game. I try to play it a few times a week myself. Hardest part is picking a server.
Great shot.

Looks like a cool game, if only the in-game graphics were as slick as this.
