@Brad, yeah - my thinking is that the light in the back will be a secondary ambient light (to brighten the shadows a bit). I paint in black and white to get the tones right, then add the color after that.

Like Erik said very nice use of light. Interesting that you have the light in the back making the front darker, really sets the focus and mood.
