Had a few hours to spare so I decided to re think the Youtube interface design. Thoughts and comments are always appreciated!
Edit: Made an edit to the logo on the attachment. Felt it needed a smoother transition from current one.
Some of the design solutions I am proposing include,
but not limited to:
-more emphasis on search bar
-larger featured video (allows for more views and video circulation)
-Refresh option on "most popular"
-Balanced colors and white space were used as a way to balance the content.
-Structured layout allows for video visibility and clear hierarchy on elements

This is fantastic!
So clean and looks very easy to use.
Great job @Andrea! :)
@Andrea Montoya Def like the simplicity of the whole thing. Adding the YouTube logo mark top left might help with the branding a tiny bit, but I really like the concept. Left nav and homepage are both pretty slick.
