Thank you so much guys!
@Alexey Anatolievich I din't know where I got some of the icons from but now I do thank you so much, those are great!
@Rovane Durso You embarrassed me :)
I don't know if this is client work or what, but i'm going to assume it is. The icons at the top - i'm not entirely sure what your thinking was behind your spacing? Two icons aligned to the left, and two to the right? The spacing is also different on both sets of icons. The search icon also looks slightly bigger than the rest.
As for the dropdown menu, I for one, wouldn't really 'get' any of the interaciton or experience without some sort of labelling. The faded/muted background also doesn't do the rest of the UI any justice in my opinion. It makes it feel dull and very unwelcoming.
I'd work on your alignment and spacing of the icons. I'd group them together in a row, and also label them. I'd figure users would understand more if there was some sort of labelling to accommodate the icons.
@j this is really early stages but you are right on the alignment and some labeling would definitely help. As far as the faded/muted background that is really an experiment at this point. I was trying to use the iOS 7 transparency effect (not successfully achieved here) since this will end up being an iPad app - much to do on this still but really appreciate the feedback.
great minimal dashboard...
I do agree with labeling of icons especially when these are unknown, I think the generic icons like edit, delete etc. can always be used without labels. I think this is a great WIP and looks definitely like as you shared stuff being in middle of something great in the making :) looking fwd for the iterations
the white background one definitely looks tidier. the navigation icon to trigger the dropdown is sort of standard by now, but not all users will get it.
I don't like the superfluous margins and spacing on the content elements, actual text and graphic content seems a bit tight, as a result. Don't know about the decision to box the two pie charts each inside it's own container. I'd either break them out or keep them in one container.
