A few screens from a nightclub event app I've been working on for a client.
I decided that I'm not going to compromise the design for the sake of switching over to iOS7. Throughout the app you'll notice a lot of iOS7 like styles/features/interactions but other than that, I didn't want to turn this into the generic iOS7 designed app that you're seeing sprout up everywhere.
Don't get me wrong, I love flat design but much like skeuo and any other type of design that sprouts up, I love them when they make sense and are appropriate to the design.
Have questions? Feel free to ask. If not, enjoy this WIP. :]

Lovely Lady C! :-)
@Tobia thank you! :D
Nice job on the tab bar.
I'd strongly recommend increasing the contrast between the inactive tab icons and the tab bar itself. (I could be wrong here, as I'm suggesting this from the screenshot. Might look differently on the device itself)
@Nikh Actually I did increase the contrast. It looked decent on the phone previously but the contrast now looks pretty sweet on the device itself and I'm happy with it. Good suggestion though, thank you!
@Aleksandar Djuric thank ya kindly, man! :]
Ah! Didn't see the attachment before. previewed it on my device and looks very good! Love the blurred background your using for the signup window. Kudos.
@Nikh hahah oh that's no problem. Thank you so much, I appreciate that!
Great stuff and you know it!
@Davey Heuser thanks so much, Davey :D
Love this! Great job Cat!
@Daniel Civetta thanks Daniel! :D
Those inner stroke highlights are too strong on the images.
Good work otherwise, you're improved a lot.
@Daryl Ginn Good point. I was unsure about how strong they were. Will play around with them. Thanks Daryl, I really appreciate that.
Nice work overall @Cat Noone I also think that new iOS7 apps should have a little flexibility over Apple's flat style.
Btw, using Facebook's official color on the "Sign in with..." button should be appropriate.
Nice work Cat this is really good. I agree with Daryl on the inner highlights, just a tad strong.
And the top tab buttons need a little bit more definition from the background.
Other than that it's wicked. keep it up
Haha, I did app about nightlife lately too with a nearly same colorpalette, already in development :) nice work though!
its very cool!
That looks like a very nice balance between iOS 7 flatness and custom UI. Congrats. PS. You're awesome.
@Xalion completely agree. i'll be changing that to FB's official blue. Thanks!
@Mike have you checked it out on a phone? I changed it before posting. To me at least, even at 50% brightness or so, the contrast is good. Check it out and let me know. Thanks though! :D Appreciate it.
@Charlie Isslander yeah?!? haha that's sweet. good stuff. yeah I enjoyed working on it and the color palette I came up with. Really satisfied.
@Andrey thank you!
@Daniel hahahha that's so funny. I appreciate that, you're too kind. And thank you! That's what I was going for, glad you think I achieved it.
I completely agree with @Daniel Jacob Archerie, the balance is perfect :) great work!
