I had absolutely no reason for putting this together, but the fun of it. And ok, maybe one reason would be to participate in this series of "___ Essentials" shots. And I know - using gold is not very accurate here, but... (running out of excuses)
Thank you for your attention and your support, my fellow dribbblers. :) Have a great day y'all.

Thank you Sir @Mathew, Sir.
Wow Axel real nice work. Love the use of color.
Amazing work as always mate! Where in the earth you found such amazing coloring and design vibe? Amazing :)
Thank you so much @Nuruzzaman - I must admit that most of my "just for fun2 work is based on distraction while working on something else - this time it started with the shield. And as for the colors - good question, hard to explain. it follows only one pattern: playing around until I´m happy. it´s based on a basic coloring in illsutrator and then I work with filters in photoshop. :)
@Axel Herrmann I see, thanks for the detailed answer. You are superbly talented man!
Again a big thank you @Nuruzzaman - There are so many great designers out there, and I, thankful for any feedback and comment , cuz this really helps me to try out new things, discover end explore directions. So everyone here is part of this. Thank you. :)
I love them Axel ! And... I just opened my editor... OMG... I think i'm going to create this shield :D
(ps : your current artworks are just soooo inspiring and beautiful, as usual of course)
@Luky Vj - Thank you my friend, I really look forward to this shield now :D And again thank you for your kind words. I guess most of my recent work is kind of a break out from old patterns, not sure where this will lead me to, so thank you for being part of this. :)
Thanks Axel love your Illustrations god I guees Penntool work.
Thank you again @Thomas, really appreciate it. My process is pretty simple. After some simple scribbles on papaer I start in illustrator with a square/circle shape and then add all other shapes until I think it feels ok, I actually do only use the pen tool to add new anchor points to a shape :) - after the shapes are done, I color them roughly and then add shadows/highlights and tweak the colors. Then I go into photoshop and adjust the mood and feel via filters and vignettes (based on smart objects). It's a pretty simple process, but effective to some point. :)
Nice. Love the feedback.
Wonderful, Axel! I love how you use few colors to bring these to life. Would be neat to see a rebound with a distressed treatment (after battle).
Lovely, the colors are great!
