Something I need to get better about.
I think it might be more accurate to say "You have to say no to a lot of good things to say yes to a few great things"
@Andy Fleming A lot of great things require saying "no" to a lot of good things. That doesn’t necessarily mean do you say "yes" to a lot of them. The operative part of the phrase being “...in order to be able to…”
So in all reality, you would only say "yes" to a few of them. It's not about saying "yes" to a lot of great things—to put it oppositely, it's that a lot of great things require saying "no" to a lot of good things. It's about having that freedom.
@Sean McCabe — Fair enough. I see what you are saying. More about having the OPPORTUNITY to pursue lots of great things.
@Andy Fleming Yes, exactly. I'm glad you were able to interpret my comment—it's complicated!
Read it loud and clear. Thanks for sharing :-).
Yay ! Wax Tailor ftw :)
Next to tallent, wisdom sets you apart my friend.

Sean: I dig your hand lettering, but what I dig even more is your podcast and the valuable advice you discuss there. Keep up the awesome work and thanks for being a positive force in the design community.
