I suppose it's time I started showing this off a little. You might remember that I was experimenting with a simpler icon—with iOS 7 it made sense to simplify even more. Naturally the whole app has gotten a complete redesign as well—including some structural changes to make it feel more at home on iOS 7. (Note the lack of a toolbar.) There will be plenty of new features too, of course.

Very nice colours, looking forward to this Mike.
Colors are mint!
In terms of the UI, I would make the cog icon a tad larger, and brighten up the background more.
For the icon, I would try to lessen the inner and outer shadow effects on the packaging sticker and tape.
Very excited to see this in action!
A shame you stuck with keeping the app icon in the middle of the viewport like that when there are no deliveries. It adds no value to the app. Something cleaner, simpler, softer, and less "lazy" (excuse the overly douchebag way I say that, I don't mean any disrespect) way of filling that space.
Also wondering if you need to define the search parameters so verbosely in the search field. Having two distinct headers for each set of results may be a cleaner way of conveying that.
Like the others, totally looking forward this. DST is my go to app for delivers and I've been using it for what seems like ever.
Sad to see the old icon go, though I do like your use of texture on this version.
In terms of the tape, considering the lighting is coming from 90º, shouldn't the tape effect be symmetrical across the vertical axis like so?
Loving the icon a lot. Nice implementation.
The color scheme of the app looks good also.
I really can't get used to the 1 pixel dividers on navbars and toolbars. So harsh.
Thanks everyone, much appreciated!
@Matt Zanchelli: I tried a lot of different options for the background. Brighter, darker, more saturated… It's hard to see what went into the choice from this one screenshot, but I feel pretty good about this color.
The effects are more prominent on this version of the icon than on the smaller sizes. I may tweak the big sizes a bit more before I call it done.
@William Szilveszter: I've tried using a subtler, monochrome version of the icon (like Apple did prior to iOS 7) but it didn't look great to me. No icon (like Apple does in iOS 7) is just too plain. I think the big, full color icon makes the empty view a bit friendlier and more inviting. Maybe I'll give the monochrome icon another shot though.
I had the same thought about the search placeholder when I posted this. The reasoning is that some people might be wondering how they can find a delivery after they've archived it. But maybe it's an obvious place to look and I've been worrying about it too much.
@Eli Schiff: Yes, it's a cheat. It made more sense before we had retina devices, especially at certain sizes. There are both 57px and 58px icons for example, so it's very difficult getting a thin line to appear centered in both versions. Having another pixel for the highlight made it easier to fudge so it never looked too weird. That may not be necessary now though, and I could treat the high resolution icon differently. I'll play around with it!

I love the Delivery Status icon from JuneCloud, and wanted to quickly explore an icon in iOS 7 style and spacings.
This is my own exploration and in no way related to or reflect the beautiful styling in the original app.
