sorry to hear it mate. It happens everyday unfortunately ;/
just learn your lesson and do not work 4 free anymore
Man what a sad story, but this seems familiar somehow. I often get inquiries from people that not even have a business mail address or website, but claim themselves a huge start up blablabla. Never ever start your work until you received 25-50 % down payment. If the client is not willing to pay it.... he won´t properly pay the money anyway so you at least do not loose time.
@Alex Lasek yeah i know but for me it's first time ;/ this sux...
@Axel Herrmann yeah now i know that.
Thanks for your comments guys :)
Sad story. C'mon dribblers, all they need to know the names of these two rascals!
yeah I learned that lesson the hard way too. Luckily it was only on a 3 hours job. It is hard to be confronted with the shameless ways of others.
@Mateusz Dembek This happen to me to. These days I always ask for an advanced payment of at least 50%, so I guess I lose 8 of 10 possible clients but, than again, better to be safe than sorry. Good luck mate.
@Axel Herrmann I agree. Its a red flag when payment is an issue from the start. D
@Mateusz Dembek i always wait 50% prepayment and give .psd after 100% payment. Don't worry it will be good lessons for you...
@Andrea Cau Yeah i know ;s
@Marcel Deelen I'm sorry because of you. As you can see everyone has to go through it. Even me. Although today I thought I is not going to happen.
@Alex Lupse sorry to hear that and thanks, from now on I will take an advanced payment from new customers.
@Kirill yeah i know but this lesson hurts ;)
Sorry to hear that bud :(
@Kev Simpson oh well...
Sorry to read that story. You can post the free psd, not that this will return your week of work but it's the least they deserve.
@mip i think about that ;)
Man, same guy contacted me with same offer, I sent him away with his attitude :( sorry that he picked you, sad to hear
@Charlie Isslander Damn... I hope they will not cheat anyone here on dribbble anymore.
Another thing that I really hate from the bottom of my heart: These guys who contact you and ask for a quote and do not even answer after they received it. This also is so unprofessional and disgusting... Even if they pick another designer they at least could leave you a note about that...
@Alex Lupse , @Alex Lasek , @Axel Herrmann , @Andrea Cau , @Marcel Deelen , @Denton , @Kirill , @mip , @Charlie Isslander
I think about your comments and whole this situation... i upload my work to dropbox so everybody can download it and do whatever you want :) It's be nice if you can share this on twitter or something - and then We all can have hope they will not cheat anyone here on dribbble anymore :)
Your website is not working :(
So sorry to hear about that...I wish everyone to avoid such situations.
@D-alex refresh it :) now are working :)
@Maria Shanina Yes, that's why i post this here, on behance, on my blog and on zerply :)
This is really bad dude!
@Luboš Volkov i know... this whole situation sux...
@Mateusz Dembek I would like to see their faces now.
