A little sneak peek at a tossed-out version of the broadway.com app. See more of this soon @ http://robothate.com

Clean and intuitive. Love the result.
I would read it, this looks good!
Awesome, really strong work! Just one question — what will happen to heading if long word will appear there (e.g. abstentious or even longer)?
Looking good. One question: What does the four in the circle at the top on the right stand for? (My first guess would be the page number.)
Really cool one @Brijan !
Somehow it reminds me of Medium, in a good way.
Cheers and keep rockin'
Very nice layout but that dude is pretty ugly.
@Yuri Mamaev for longer words in headlines I would specify to the developers a set of point sizes.
@Thorsten Beeck the 4 in the top corner is a notifications button it opens a side drawer with info about broadway shows users follow.
Few little thoughts, i really like this design in general. Just some ideas to improve it.
The hamburger shouldn't be curved off, it doesnt match the whole aesthetic IMO. I like the harsh lines in here and them being rounded seems random.
I'd put the page number at the bottom of the page, then move the hamburger across to the right, you have more control over the colour on the right hand side rather than the left, so it is easier to spot regardless of the cover image.
If this is indeed a cover then i'm not sure that you need that much opening copy there, if it is the first page then there should probably be some indication to scroll along (may be obvious depending on how you get to this page)
I'd also make NEWS the same colour as the title, atm they are too similar and it irks me that they aren't the same.
Finally, i'd make the width of the ring around the + at least 2px, if the background was white there it'd be completely lost. It'll also look ugly on a lot of iPads.
@Brijan Ah okay, then I understand. :)
@Ryan Murphy well it's a good thing this version was tossed otherwise it would clearly need a lot of improvement.
Let me give some context.
The hamburger is rounded because all of the UI elements in this particular concept that users could interact with were circular/rounded.
The circle with the 4 is not a page number its a button for notifications.
This is not a cover page, it's a news article.
The word "news" is a dynamic element / tag. The verbiage would not always be the same. A client request was to have each tag change colour based on the tag.
I don't think 2px lines or 1px lines look any different on any device regardless of retina/non-retina. But that's subjective.
Thanks for the feedback. Pretty detail oriented. Far more than most comments.
ugh.. wrong, wrong all wrong. If you want to know what you should do to improve this you should throw it away and start all over. J/K bro its super cute.
@John Powell I did throw it away... and I did start over. Problem is I actually like this more. ha ha ha.
Sounds pretty par for the course.
Interesting layout. Looks good.
Lovely. What font are you using for the headline?
@Alex Deckard which headline brother?
"Houdini Will Make Magic..."
@Alex Deckard Tiempos Headline Black
