    @Gary Hussey Thanks :D Good guess, but the micro-electromechanical accelerometer output is still too noisy for precise inertial navigation, so Holographium extrudes the 3D geometry over a predefined time period anywhere between 3 and 30 seconds and calculates the exact extrusion distance for you. That's why there aren't any precise accelerometer-based ruler apps on the App Store. Which is something I have on my most-wanted-to-do-list!
