Spent a couple of days working on the first draft of my personal site. A task easier said than done!

First of all: that's a very nice concept you worked out!
And now I've got some ideas for you:
1. The menu on the top right: you could actually put it in the middle of the page, that's be a little more consistent with the logo and all being aligned to the center.
2. The 'scroll-down' icon could be a little transparent - that's give it a more sub-ordered feel in contrast to the other icons ;)
Wow, that's for the kind words and great feedback @Finn! I'll definitely give the navigation a go, as you said there's no reason not to when all the content's already centre aligned.
I can also see the 'scroll down' button being slightly transparent, I wouldn't want it to be on par focus with the social buttons.
Nice draft, Stu! Love the style.
Something that I'd change is that it's too anonymous. You're logo is up there, but it's swallowed by the "web designer from the uk". I'd put your name that big, and the tagline should be in a smaller font below your name.
ps: I need to fix this myself too...
Thanks very much @oVan!
That's very true, I can see that now! I did originally have it like this, but felt it was slightly overkill on the simplicity. Saying that it's definitely essential and I'll be sure to give it a go!
