This is a concept modal I've done to connect to a service for login, amongst other possibilities. The more challenging aspect I found to work with was the buttons(especially red). Luckily, had some great guys give constructive feedback. The hover container is there to make it more distinguishable to the user as to which service they're over.

Looks nice. I like the hover behind the service. It adds some interactive-ness to the page. I'd round the corners of the hover so it fits in a little better with the rest of the UI. Also, with the hover the division lines might be unnecessary. Try removing them.
The rounded corners on the buttons are a bit messed up, seems like you stretched the buttons and distorted the corners.
Overall nice work, I really like where this is headed.
The hover state spacing feels off since the button is taller than the label and icon. I would space out the hover container a bit to make it feel less cramped around the button.
Other than that, this looks really good - nice and simple.
Looks great! I'd completely ditch the hover state and add a hover state on the buttons themselves.
