I was requested by Petr to remake an icon for Moment App.
A first idea was a puzzle, which means connecting things together (comment,photo,video,location) but we end up with a cloud symbol as a shape of all 4 things. So the final concept kind mozaik..

That's really nice! I just have to comment on the centring of the camera illustration, it feels a bit offset...
Great work anyway! :-)
Nice idea, also that "spark" on the chat is nice! :)
I especially like the placement of the location pin. Very smart use of space.
Well done! I must say though, I can't help but see a ghost as the messages icon. :)
Great documentation on Behance.
Looking great except the film. A roll of film maybe?
@ChristianSelig Totally looks like http://www.mariowiki.com/images/thumb/7/7e/NSMB2-W2-Ghost_House.jpg/250px-NSMB2-W2-Ghost_House.jpg
@Anton Kudin Yes! Exactly what I was thinking. :)
@Anton Kudin hahah, memories.
@Jackie Tran i dig this concept. nice work!
I have to admit that I like the sketch much more than the actual icon, the colorscheme feels a bit to cold and monotone.
@Axel Herrmann the icon is blue because of the ui.
Sure thing @Jackie, still one could use colors in a more vivid way ;)
Incredible work !
Having 4 "tings" is a bit too much IMO. 3 would make the icon less cluttered, give more space for detail and look better in smaller sizes.
I like the concept, but I do feel the film doesn't fit in with the rest.
The film looks like a different style, its flatter compared to the other 3.
This is probably because the base gradient looks different, inner shadow looks different and it had a gradient thats 50-50 while all the other parts have a smooth ones.
I LOVE the concept. One of those things that is so simple and well understood once you see it. I agree with others in that the film part seems a little disjointed from the others, but otherwise this is brilliant!
@Marcus Lindgren I could not be only 3 things. Because there're 4 things you can post on facebook : comment, location, photo and video.
To start, I have to say that I love the process by which you arrived at this concept. I love to see how other designers think and solve problems. But, I can't say I'm totally in love with the final piece.
1) At first glance I felt the concept a bit too cold and monotone. When the icon is reduced in size, it looks like a monotone NBC peacock.
2) At a smaller size, again, the individual components are lost. The location pin is clearly dominant in this case.
3) The film strip feels a bit out of place with it's deeper hues. It might help to create a distinction with the other components with a similar approach.
As I said before, I love the process and approach. I just think there's a bit more to do to really nail it. Very close though.
