Just won a national award for this Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter poster, but nothing is ever perfect! Lots of people add texture to illustrations like this, anyone have an opinion on whether that would help or hurt?

Cool piece... welcome
Dude that's amazing
I'm personally torn on the texture debate. It often does look really great, but it can also be a crutch to hide otherwise mediocre design. In this case, however, it seem appropriate with the context. Might as well give it a try.
Creative! Nice work Jacob. :) - and welcome to Dribbble!
not a portfolio site buddy. work in progress.
am glad you won though.
Nice shot, welcome.
Very good friend! .. I really like your work ... I will follow your progress..welcome to dribbble
This is what I call a BOLD DEBUT!!!
Welcome @Jacob Siner
really love it. it doesn't need anything more like textures, it's perfect like that! on point.
@charles peters buddy, on dribbble you can post older work, newer work, finished work, unfinished work... there's no rule that it has to be work in progress.
Very nice, welcome ▐
@Jacob Siner Welcome to Dribbble
Looks great! I'd love to see some texture on here just out of curiosity, but I think the simplicity of it makes it really solid.
Great idea! I like it )
Clever. Maybe in red?
Very clever image that makes impact. I think great work doesn't need fancy presentation, although it sometimes can make it look even better. But in my opinion, negative space logos/icons are clearer without texture.
Awesome shot dude! Welcome! The power of the beard! @Jacob Siner
