The Contessa - A ‘foreign looking’ debonair car with gorgeous looks came sashaying by in 1980s, in an era when Indians were stuck with two choices in cars - The Ambassador or Premier Padmini.

The Contessa or Conti as it was popularly called, was a hit among the Indin upper crust, and symbolised social status, success and pride.
