A concept I did for a car center console a year ago or so, featured some cool interactions like swiping albums to the right to play in the music section, rotating controls for volume and temperature (incrementing one point each full rotation - rotation is easier in a car than adjusting to the actual number-) and a visual control of the windows (bottom right).

Looks clear, but in a car you need to have touch feedback with any buttons, so you can watch for the road.
@Sasha Tikhonov I agree, the driver needs feedback but I don't think it necessary has to be physical, other solutions could be used such as audio signals.
A Tesla model that I sat in a few weeks ago had something very similar to this. The Interface was different, but the entire center console was a touch screen.
Yeh @Justin Lancaster as soon as I saw this it reminded me of the Tesla. http://www.robservatory.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/tesla3b.jpg
Pretty neat car, electric and just got awarded the most safest car ever. Pitty there a bit expensive at the moment.
Show this to Elon Musk! man!!
@Justin Lancaster @Cameron Lloyd I desperately want a Tesla but I don't think you can get one in Europe anyway. I'll still to AlphaRomeo.
@Ramble Ren do you have his email? ;)
maybe go Elon.email@example.com
