Dude, that star looks exactly like Twitter for iPhone. Don't copy styles, and don't delete comments that call you out. Take it as constructive criticism. It's never a good idea to copy someone else's work.
Dude, I haven't deleted anything! I take every single well thought comment as constructive feedback and I reply to every single one I can. Consider it's a WIP, I am not showcasing my skills but I am merely posting to get feedback, constructive feedback. The stars are like twitter for diverse reasons I am not going to discuss but if you look at the tags I mentioned twitter there.
Nope Will, I did not delete your comment, I would have deleted your last one otherwise, Stéphane gave me some feedback about the text and I promptly replied to him like I am doing to you right now, no big deal.
I didn't even know you could delete people's comments! Anyway regarding the star it's not a problem, once something becomes a convention you should not be afraid to use it.
Thanks Sacha, exactly right, it's also a matter of using something familiar, people used to Twitter will immediately recognise that symbol and its purpose.

I feel the white text doesn't blend in like the rest of the graphics.

Thanks a lot guys, Stéphane I agree, I need to try with an embossed style or maybe a metallic text to break from the black bg. :)
