Sneak pre-launch preview! I'm working on a ATX Web Events Calendar for the Austin web community. It's really basic and built on FullCalendar + Google Calendar. Check it out, and if you have feedback I'd love it before I go live.
I'm breaking events up into Weekly, Monthly and Special (one offs). If you have anything I need to add, I'll add it. If you have lots of stuff to add and want to help me keep track of events and exceptions, I'll give you admin access to the calendars.
Planning on allowing people to subscribe from here too.
Yah. GeekAustin's list totally inspired this. It made it easy to just cherry pick non-linux events and set auto-recurring, rather than doing a feed mashup.
Excellent. You can also add the new Django meetup (http://www.meetup.com/djangoaustin/about/) that my boyfriend started /selfpromo and the BASHH on 3/10 (bashhinteractive.eventbrite.com)! Hooray!
Hey There, i was kind of wondering if you had any reasources or advice on where in the world do you find good designers (besides to obvious) in Austin. I know there out there but craigs, forrst have failed to produce anyone decent. Know anyone? Have advice, id appreciate it.
@Jesse, you should check out my other side project: Regggionals - Allow your location and a little "Austin, TX" link should pop up in the top. A lot of those folks are contract. Are you looking for full-time or part-time?

Looking good buddy.
Did you compare against Geek Austin's list?
Add me if you need help keeping it up to date.

Cool. I'll add it. Have him ping @atxwebshow when they get their next event scheduled.

@Jesse: Best advice I can give is to come out to some of the events on Dave's calendar. Tons of talent in tiny spaces :)
