I've been making a music controller. LEDs and code and generative music and Kavinsky and hairspray and car chases and betamax and that kinda jazz.
Anyway, it's nice to take an evening off from code and make something fun!

It's like a Drive/Tron mash up
reminds me of all the rad stuff on the Signal Noise tumblr: http://uzicopter.tumblr.com/
I want this as a wallpaper, with the grids going towards infinity in the background. Then I'd alternatively look at it and watch this video.
I'm not massively keen on how the grids came out in the end - they just feel a bit…'vectory'? I haven't got Photoshop or Illustrator installed on this Mac at all; feel like i'm kind of pushing Sketch to its limits at the moment.
That's sketch? Wow, even more impressive. I think I'd help a lot if the grids had a lot more perspective-distortion on them. Right now they look more like flaps than they do like planes. If you still want the text to be readable, you can always fade them out towards the end.
Yeah - turns out it's a massive PITA to do transforms and glows in Sketch and still retain some kind of performance - think I'm going to cave and install Ai and have another bash at the grids…
Nice! I'd go with what @Joris Rigerl says about having the grids continue and fade out. But love the vibe :)
I felt like I didn't quite get my point across, so here's what I was thinking.
that's much better - thanks so much :)
Wow that style!
You should play Robot Unicorn Attack 2 on iOS or Android. You'll love it!
Me and Chris are thinking of doing an "Electronic Performance" or "Music via Tech" meetup thingy.
Oh man this nails the aesthetic I was going for so much better…
Well done, my friend!
When i saw your shot, the first music in my mind it's Kavinsky's Protovision!
