My ABC’s are Different Than Yours

A design a year in the making. Hand-lettered in Procreate, initially vectored in Affinity Designer for the iPad, then finalized (with illustrations added) in Illustrator.

IRL, I’m a pretty quiet person who is often described as “sweet and caring.” Which, like, yeah that’s true. But as an atheist, a feminist, and someone who gets really shouty about discrimination and bigotry and systemic oppression, it’s a title I’ve been given and have decided to wear proudly.

Prints, stickers, and possibly buttons will be going up in my Etsy shop when I’m able to get out of the house to get things printed.

A fun thing, too — the flowers are orange lilies and purple impatiens. Orange lilies mean hatred or loathing; impatiens are also known as touch-me-nots and thus their meaning is self-explanatory. So the flowers literally say, “I hate you, don’t touch me.” And that brings a smile to this feminist killjoy’s face.
