What a great idea! The design looks pretty perfect. I'm curious what those controls at the bottom are for though… chalk size on the left maybe?

The left is the chalk size, the right switches the background color from green to black. Double-tap to toggle the chalk colors and eraser. Three finger swipe to undo/redo.

We have a tutorial on the first launch.

That looks awesome! Too bad I'm not getting an iPad… :P

@Mike I guess its for the size [left] and for the board's color [right] But just guessing…

I swear this was original, but look what I just found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzLfhwKw-Tg

    Looks good.

There's no such thing as an original idea on the iPhone/iPad (for the most part). Whenever I think of some great app idea that I am sure has never been done, a quick search on the app store proves me wrong with at least 5 different implementations of what I thought was an original idea.

I don't like the frame-in-frame idea, maybe make the iPad's frame the whiteboard's frame (add shadows to make it more realistic)?

@makrjardine Good to know. I guess I shouldn't give up if it's already been done because I can find ways to improve it.

@slavingia I didn't like the frame in frame idea at first either, but it provides such a great place to store so many features. In the future, you'll be able to hide the frame and go fullscreen.

@Louis do not give up, the app looks beautiful, just because someone else has done something very similar doesn't mean you can't do it better. I trust your design skills over the competition.

Looks great Louis. Like others said, competition will come and go and your product looks far superior, design and feature wise.
What will be your initial price point?

This looks pretty fantastic, man, congrats!

Can I ask who's coding it for you?

Perfect use case you haven't thought of: I can write obscenities on it and hold it up against my window when driving to yell at other drivers. Yeah!
