A glance at a new app that i'm working on..
This is the feeds' content top menu bar selector and the utility side menu.

Looks good! Love that you did not use the usual "burger menu" icon, but something that better resembles the visual representation of your menu. I also very much like the navigation concept.
- The Orange looks a bit dull to me. Personally, I prefer a stronger, more reddish Orange. But that's just personal taste!
- The bold custom font perfectly fits the sporty feeling, but in running text I'm having a hard time reading it (the long headlines). I'd only use it to add interest and highlight to certain aspects of the app (perfect fit for the counts next to the items), but not use it in running text.
- You used three circles to indicate, that the navigation bar is draggable. In iOS, three horizontal cricles are for me an indicator for horizontal swiping, not vertical dragging. I'd change that to iOS7's rounded rectangle from command and notification center or use multiple horizontal lines often used in iOS6 and Android.
Thanks for the feedback @Florian !
The orange color is one of the brand dictations, as well as the font you mentioned. however, i don't use this font in running text but only in titles (like the titles you can see on the feed items).
As to the drag-able icon - we also thought about it and decided to keep it and see what feedbacks we will receive from the users. but i will certainly will consider changing it!
