Ferris, an app I recently had the privilege of designing, is now out and available in the App Store. Ferris allows you to shoot video clips and combine them into a continuous stream which you can share with other Ferris members. Additionally you can explore and "build" other films from user's content, hashtags, location, categories, etc. The app is 1.0 and just getting started, but the possibilities are amazing! I'm excited to watch this community grow and for the updates/improvements the Ferris team have up their sleeve.
I had a lot of fun working on this design. It was challenging in many ways, particularly with providing enough information but in as few steps and screens as possible. A few things I like best are the Film detail screen, the explore pages, and how you can scrub across a film's image to "jog" through the clip.
Be sure to check out the attachment to see more screens from the app at 100%.
