I haven't picked up a pencil since I left school back in 2006. I've spent the last 5-6 years working solely with digital formats, but I thought it was about time I had a bit of draw again.
I drew inspiration from a drawing I found on Deviantart (http://goo.gl/uKBCl). I didn't trace it, but I definitely tried to replicate it as best as possible.

Bobby Chiu is the artist. I really followed his work back when he was lesser known (a long time ago now). I believe he owns his own studio now. Nice guy.

@Franz - I don't actually do much illustration, mainly website and UI; having said that, I've been inspired recently to start drawing again, so maybe I'll branch out and start playing with a tablet.
