This is what I've been working on for the past few weeks :) sumitpaul.com

Need some help. I've noticed that some images and thumbnails don't show up in Google Chrome at times. The problem is that its not a broken link. It just shows the background color instead of the image. Once this happens, I have to re-open the site on a new tab.

I've been having this problem with chrome all over the web. It might not be your site. Lemme know what you find out.

Yea I'm scouring the web for answers at the moment. Must be a corrupt Chrome install.

thanks Simon. This time around I wanted to create a portfolio site that wasn't white, grey and minimalist, been doing that for ages ... it was time for a change.

It's a Chrome thing. Had the same issue when building our site. Good old Shift + Refresh fixes it.

Site looks great btw. Saw it on siteinspire.

Thanks! ... yea refreshing works ... but it gets kind of embarrassing when i present my portfolio site in person to prospective employers.

Just stumbled on your website and wanted to say how much I like it. The colour scheme, especially on the slider on the first page, is just great and the overall layout feels really original and inviting to browse. Also found a couple of good links in your journal posts, so thanks!

Thanks Claire! When i was prototyping the site, i was using the grey for all placeholder images, thats how i came up with it, any other color scheme would've been quite jarring, as it would compete with the orange and white.
