Earlier today we rolled out an updated version of the Instagram Media Pages. With this, we tied together the codebase of the pages and the modal views around the site.
This update was focused around consistency and responsiveness, optimising for multiple viewport sizes including tablets.
Check one out, play around with it. As always, if you bump into something, send me a note!

Noticed these earlier today. Nice work man! Have you considered removing the grey border from the picture itself? Causes some fuzziness with some colors.
@Marvin Kennis Been looking at it. Going to investigate a little more once the launch settles. :)
Looks great! Does it work better in iPad than the previous?
@Joel Helin That was one of the goals in the design process. They're fully responsive. :)
The heart icon began to be less recognizable when turned red. Maybe make the border inside instead of outside.
Really like what you've accomplished here with the responsive modals. Feels great on the iPad.
Not liking the light blue button border stroke the heart and more buttons have, though might be a retina issue... Other than that, much better use of space!
Top notch work, Maykel. I would suggest you should make the horizontal and vertical padding the same here on mobile screen sizes. :)
@Thom That's a very 'expensive' measurement to make. Looking in to a better middle ground, though.
@Maykel looking good my man!
Always been bummed that you can't see more of the faces of the folks who favorite the photo, any particular reasoning for removing those faces completely from this version?
@Matt Gist It was a combination of downloading a lot of images and visual clutter. If we find a consistent solution some day, we might roll one through. Until then we're back to usernames. :)
The Facebook influence is definitely shinning through! Looks good.
Really nice work! Would be sweet if you could bring locations into media pages more
@Maykel Loomans makes sense. Faces are so engaging, but I suppose you don't really need need it in this set of information.
I like it but it looks a little tight on 1280x800
@Bruno Marinho It might be tight, but at least the whole page is in view. Which is an upgrade. We'll look more into small screen stuff soon.
This is cool man, I like the overall feel of it. I'd make the heart a bit less prominent, hope that helps.
great work, i noticed it today!
I'm addicted to this
