Overall I like it. I dig the nav styling. The spacing seems weird after the main photo element and the line of photos beneath it. Maybe if the spacing were equal under to the spacing between the smaller ones?
Looks beautiful, Cameron. If it were my site, I would want the navigation links to be set in a larger font-size.
Maybe my eyes are starting to go at the ripe old age of 26, but I'd have a hard time reading those.
You have 5 links which, judging by the 3+ visible thumbnails, appear to cover only 50% of the body width. My preference is that 5-7 should occupy 100% width by default. If I need to squeeze in one or two more, I'll reduce their size a bit.
@ Zachary Blank: Most a portfolio or storefront theme. At least for now that's where it's headed.
@ TJ Kelly: I hear ya. There's more to the right of the navigation links (not visible). In the end, I might keep the font size as is, but users who purchase the theme will definitely be able to adjust to their liking.
I like it, very clean and simple with a nice use of space. I agree with TJ Kelly that the navigation might be more prominent if it was a smidgen bigger. I'd also move the text down a bit, closer to the line dividing it from the content to make it a bit clearer which is the current page. It's not much of a criticism though, it's a great design and I'd love to see the whole thing!
Generally loving it. Although spacing, both letter- and image- doesn't seem to be 'quite right'
For example, the horizontal space between the smaller screenshots does not match the vertical space between them and the larger image above. This seems to throw my eye off a little.
Also, my 29 and 3/4 year old eyes aren't so pleased with the (lack of) space between letter-spacing in the caption above the main image (The 'Colloseo' text). I assume this is the same as the 'logo' you've used, but it doesn't quite 'work' at the smaller font size.
I'm loving the menu styling and also the subtle similarity between the dark grey bar at the very top and the underline on the 'active' menu state.
I like the direction, but there are details I'm not sure about. i don't really want to critique them as this is as early shot. Make sure you post more soon! :)
