That's brilliant. I've been working on a similar idea within a project. I'm logging page views and searches into Mongo, banking that the value of having the complete datastream outweighs the cost of building an analytics infrastructure.
Specifying "anonymous" data may resonate with a lot of folks. How much correlatable data gets unwittingly dropped into Google Analytics every minute? Google Analytics is great in many situations, but at the end of the day it is of the Google, by the Google and for the Google.
