From time to time I really desire to learn how to code, and it's always so I can create my own point-and-click games like the classic ones I grew up playing: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: the Graphic Adventure, and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. If you've never played these before or want to again, check out ScummVM.
It doesn't help when people like @Neven Mrgan are making great games in this style... I get really jealous that I don't have any programming abilities. Can't wait to play Space Age!

Don't forget the old Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacle and The Dig.
@Uri Kelman Didn't discover Monkey Island 1 & 2 until adulthood; really enjoy those too. Haven't had a chance to play the other two you mentioned, though I have played a bit of Loom.
Oh, also the old Leisure Suit Larry games.
If you like new adventure games, might I recommend The Walking Dead by Telltale Games. Really awesome!!
