So, I learned something tonight. Apparently "Veloso" means "hairy" in Portuguese. Quite ironic considering I've had a 27-year body hair drought. On that note, I don't know many Filipinos that are very hairy at all to be honest.
Other than the slight disappointment in finding out that my name has nothing to do with speed, this was quite an enjoyable task.
Thought this'd be fun so done a bit of research and the findings where a bit grim. My surname — according to Wikipedia — originates from the word cillín which meaning a historical children's burial place.
"I could see the silhouette of a man sitting on his knapsack, gazing into the flames... He was roasting some sausages... That scene confirmed all my images of the hobo: the romantic wanderer, alone under the stars, responsible to no one, free to travel at whim, living in the elements... I was about to experience his freedom."

Since it's a fun project I went out of my comfort zone and tried to make something out of the period my last name would have actually meant this.
Great idea Hillary, this was a fun one!
