Nice! prefer the right one ;)
Right fer sure.
left one, smaller / no dots.
I guess I'm the contrarian. Left, no changes.
Love the right one!
Brilliant..great line work.
nice colors and line work. Def the left. It reminded me briefly of Cassaro's Lands End mark, but I only think because it was a lighthouse.
I'm partial to the left. These are both rad though.
Thick Lines! Left no question!
@Shed Labs I was worried about that. I think that's why I made the thinner version. I'm hoping that the line/dot pattern and and the type treatment that goes with it will set it apart if the client likes it.
left and maybe minimal waves?
Land's End. It's not just the fact that there's a lighthouse, it's the entire composition - a monoline circle bisected by a curved wave with a lighthouse.
@Trevor Baum It's a shame that they've got a lock on that, but it's just another reason to try and push it to be different. Last thing I want is for this to come off as a lift of @Dan Cassaro's work. Thanks for the feedback Trevor.
yeah. I agree with Trevor. but, it's not the first time. This is a Contino mark in 2010, way before Lands End. http://ffffound.com/image/83bf9f0a64ea0b4a6f8e50bd17f884282e9da10d?c=3677228
I'd explore other bounding shapes besides circle... Maybe the lighthouse breaks through the shape? rocks instead of rolling landscape?
Yeah, just keep pushing and exploring.
@Shed Labs Thanks guys. I think playing with the bounding shape is a great thought. Here's the photo that started it all: http://www.bansemer.com/georgia_lighthouse_prints/south_carolina_lighthouse_prints/morris-island-lighthouse-print.jpg I think tweaking some of the landscape would help, but you know how those SC beaches are.
@Mike Rogers Ah yeah got ya. Yeah very good point about the region. I'd say maybe flip the rolling dune hill at least and then mess with shapes. Clouds are an interesting thought too.
Thick Lines FTW.
Could you just take out the beach since you can't see it half the time? And I like the right.
Hmm, just curious if you've seen this before? http://youngjerks.com/#/lands-ender/
@Daniel Waldron Hey Daniel. I've definitely seen it. It's a good mark. Definitely wasn't trying to rip anything. I've been going back and forth with @Shed Labs above on some ways to differentiate it.
