Over the last few weeks I have been working on Goal Adviser, an online betting tips site targeted at EPL, Championship, FA Cup and UEFA fans. The new site is going to be responsive. What is really impressive is they are featured in British newspapers all the time, and have a regular slot on BT Sport which is launching in August! So I can't wait to see a site that I have designed being used by tens of thousands of people on a day-to-day basis.
I went through loads of wireframes (thanks to my Dotgrid.co book!) to get to this layout, and I'm pretty pleased with it.
Constructive feedback welcome - give it your best!

I’m not really sure if the colored circles work so well. They look far too big and I don’t really know if they are buttons or just features? The white text may sometimes be annoying to read as your background varies — here especially as Parker’s shirt is blending with it making my eyes jump all over.
Otherwise it’s effective.
@Shane Carmody Thanks for the feedback Shane. I was worried about the text on the background image, but it seems to have grown on me a little. I might have a play with making the background image darker though - put a black overlay on it just to see how it turns out. As for the circles, they're not buttons, but they will have a cool effect, we'll make them zoom in & spin or something along those lines. Something to keep in mind is these 4 steps are super important to new visitors to the site, and once you've signed up, you'll never see them again. So it's good they're kind of in your face. :) Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm going to have a play around!
haha, nice.. gunners vs spurs. Classic :)
very nice. like the chunkiness of everything
I love this design. Very effective!!!
I agree with @Shane Carmody I like how you resolve white text over thumbnail images, maybe you can do something similar to hero section.
great work!! Gunners!!! :p
@Callum Chapman mate this is lovely. There's an abundance of flat design at the moment but this design has tons of character and i'm sure it'd be easy to use :)
@Santiago Alonso I'm going to give it a shot! :)
@Kamal Chaneman Boo! COYS! ;)
@Jeff King Thanks mate - I promise I started this before iOS 7 ;)
Champion work Callum!
Great work mate!

@Ryan Murphy @Avinash Tripathi @Tanveer Junayed @Krystyn Heide Thanks everyone!
Nice @Callum Chapman , Try using a soft blur on the copy over the image. You'll be able to build this in with CSS3 (like https://www.airbnb.com.au/). Enable any type of background image to be used without the need of boxing. AirBNB go a little overboard, but you get the idea.
With the circles, you could simplify and use the colour on hover or invert the icon... may circle the icons and enlarge the circle on hover to envelop the copy.
Sharp layout mate, like.
Cheers for the feedback @Carter Digital (via James Noble)! :)
@Callum Chapman Where did you get the lovely high res images from?
