It's interesting to watch great HTML designers like yourself flex their animation muscles - in this respect, people who got the Flash bug years ago have an head start.
But, it won't be long before authoring tools for animation in JS or CSS catch up! I checked out Sencha Animator and reviewed it too. I can't wait for a proper tool like that to turn up.

The animation seems a bit robotic to me- it wouldn't ease out, if anything it would ease in slightly and finish suddenly.
Also, when you're animating people or animals, you usually overshoot the resting position slightly and return. That's when you can use the ease out.
