Same component, only animated three different ways.

There's always a lot to consider. How much can I code with just CSS? Do I have to use javascript? What about if a component has server calls? It moves, but is that the right movement? Is that motion productive or expressive? Hummm.

Wherever you start in your exploration, just make sure you explore, comb through the details, talk to developers and of course, consider your users and their task in every outcome.

This is one of the explorations for a date picker that sits inside of IBM's products. Can you spot the differences? Which one makes the most sense for product design?
