Let’s Get Poppin’

Maize was founded in 2013 as a small batch, craft popcorn company located in the heart of Lincoln, NE. In 2019, they expanded the business, adding not only a second location, but also…homemade soft serve ice cream. With the addition of ice cream, a merch store, and a new name – Maize Gourmet Popcorn & Ice Cream – a new logo and corresponding brand was needed.

Because the Maize name and logo was already recognizable by locals, we determined the logo needed to refreshed, adaptable, and versatile, rather than completely redesigned. The resulting design honors the history of the brand, while providing a modern feel and high functionality.
