I've had this idea for a while, but I started working on it because I was so inspired by Mike Mitchell's incredible "Space!" exhibition (http://blog.sirmitchell.com/post/53478090334/space-the-gallery-show-opens-friday-june-21st) I've been seeing all over the internet.
I grew up glued to the discovery channel and remember the Hubble launch, Mir, and the Mars rovers vividly. Space doesn't seem to get the same front page coverage it used to, but that's likely me remembering wrong, anyway.
I'm planning on making each craft a different launch vehicle, shuttle, Orion, ect. But, I also like the repetition as it stands. I am going to clean everything up and compose it a little better, this is sort of a proof of concept. Full print and desktop backgrounds to follow!

I made the vector for the Saturn V on my iPad with iDraw, a... passable vector editing program.

Great work man! The real subtle shift in the background color is sharp! I also love the thin fading space between the jets .
Thanks homies. Also: Type is Comfortaa from Google Fonts: http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Comfortaa
Man I love the cloud shapes you used to do the fade in the sky. so crisp.
