Just wrapped up an awesome project for @Daniel Vernon's Notebetter. It was a pleasure to work with him and I am really happy with the result.
I wanted the logo to be pixel perfect so I uploaded it @1x. But also check the @2x
The logo will probably look like this on the website.
Because this logo will also be used on an app icon I used a specific grid, to make sure the logo is ultra scaleable. Mission accomplished, right?! :)
Daniel had already created a specific color palette for his website & app, and the new icon/logo fits right in. The plus icon is always darker. The lines/fold and the document parts of the logo are the same color, but the lines/fold have a 50% opacity, to keep the same look, on any color.

Looks great! Can't wait to test the app.
This is lovely, really love it! :)
I take that its a note app?
It is pixel-perfect, Jord! Loving the pastel colors man.
Nice grid :)
Love the way it looks. Especially with the grid, palette and transparency to maintain the way it looks on eich size and color.
I really like this, great result my friend!
Scales nicely, also enjoy how much a little + and bold lines can bring to a familiar icon.
Beautiful typography too!
Awesomely balanced, man.
Wowsers, looks great!
Visually it's very pleasing. Conceptually, you've made stronger work.
Approve! he showed me this earlier. Lovely work!
Simple and crisp, nicely done.
I really can't wait to test this app. I'm a note-o-maniac!
Well executed, professional work, but I agree with @Yummygum: I've seen more exciting designs from you.
@Matej Latin @Charlie Isslander @Alexander Neusinger
@Marian Pop @Leon Bolwerk Thanks dudes!
@Michael Christensen Thanks. And yes it has something to do with notes. ;)
@Jan Meeus Thanks Jan, in this case pixel perfectness is rather important. :)
@Chris Johnson Thanks! I don't always use a grid, but this time it was essential.
@Justin Roos Thanks, I really tried going the extra mile here and deliver a coherent concept.
@Ryan Keairns Thanks! It is rather simple, but unique enough.
@Martijn Schornagel Avenir FTW! :)
@Marcus Farrell @Trevor Houlton Thanks guys!
@Kyee Glad to hear! :D
@Pedro Vieira Well, I am sure you will like the app. :)
@Yummygum @Ivo Ruijters Right, I agree. This concept is very simple and quite spartan. We went through a few revisions with many sketches and more complex/detailed logos. The client however decided to pick something very simple yet unique enough. And I think that was a good call since in this case it works very well.
Keep in mind that in this case I had to make the logo suit the already existing design of the app and website. But more importantly, I had to make sure the logo fits the vision and idea of the app, which is simple, bare essentials, and usability.
But, most importantly, the logo will be used on the app icon, as seen here: http://dribbble.com/shots/1123456-Notebetter/attachments/143317 For an app icon I think this is the perfect balance between simple and recognizable. And totally iOS 7 ready. ;)
Clean and simple and that is the point here I guess.
Super cool! It's so simple! Colors are great too! :D
