I can't decide on my base colour!

I like this one more.
It's a nice start, very much in the direction of where Joomla should be, currently its a shambles in the admin area, and overly complex in functionality.
On the design side of this shot, I'm not totally sold on the whitespace on the breadcrumbs, they seem to take priority over the 'New Article' title.
Also, I'm not a fan of they tabs.
The rest I like though, totally simplifies the back-end.
@Alan Horne Thanks for the great feedback fella, very much appreciated.
I'm also not a fan of tabs but in almost any content creation view Joomla has soooooo many options I really don't see another way to deal with them all effectively. Or are you referring only to the tab design, not the funtionality of tabs?
Similarly confused about your breadcrumbs comment. Are you referring to the padding on the » separator?
@Seth Warburton On the tabs it was more the design, functionally they work, but cosmetically, I'm not feeling the style.
I would of had the breadcrumbs tighter to the 'New Article' title, there is a lot of whitespace below the breadcrumbs, that I feel gives them the prominence over the title.
Actually looking at the tabs, I'm not sure about those, some of that could be implemented into the form fields at the bottom, some people may get confused as to whether they click the save button before changing tabs or after making all the changes.
@Alan Horne Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying. I totally agree re. the tab design, it doesn't really fit for me either so I'll look at fixing that!
I wanted to create a strong separation between the breadcrumbs and the content as I want the breadcrumbs to also be recognisable as a discrete nav element.
Looking nice! I actually like the whitespace below the breadcrumbs – gives it some nice breathing room. I also like the height of your user top area, feels nice and spacious.
I agree that the tabs feel a bit out of place. They're very sharp and angular and your buttons and avatar are softer and rounded.
Looking really nice though, I like this blue better.
Thanks @Brendan Pittman I appreciate the feedback. I've now reworked the tabs into something far more subtle and 'tabby', hopefully an improvement.
